iMagic Inventory v5.56 automatically reconnects lost database connections

iMagic Software has released version 5.56 of iMagic Inventory, adding a new feature that automatically reconnects a dropped database connection, along with the latest Windows security and performance patches.

OpenReOpen: automatic database reconnection

The new OpenReOpen feature detects when a database connection has been lost and attempts to reconnect automatically. This is particularly helpful when using remote LAN databases, cloud databases, or certain file-sync setups, where a connection can drop unexpectedly.

Updated Preferences dialog

The Preferences dialog has also been updated in this release.

Security and performance

This release includes the latest Windows security and performance patches.

Availability

Version 5.56 is available now to existing iMagic Inventory customers. From within the software, select Help > Check Web for Updates to install it.
